standman Report post Posted December 20, 2009 Well it has been a while since I have posted a predator hunt so I thought I'd show a picture of this evenings hunt. Here is a grey fox I called. He came in at the 5 minute mark to sound of fighting foxes. My 12 gauge put him down at 25 yards. I called another in on my next stand but he lives to see another day. I just don't know how a guy can miss with a shotgun . Anyway hope you like the picture. Brian

josh Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Brian you get the prettiest grey fox I see. Well done. Don't feel bad I missed a grey at less than twenty yards a couple weeks ago. When I miss with a shotgun it is almost always high. I get excited and don't get down on my bead. How has your bobcat action been this year?

When I miss with a shotgun it is almost always high. I get excited and don't get down on my bead. How has your bobcat action been this year? Yeah I was high. I rushed the shot and didn't get down on my gun. I should have been more patient and let him come to a different hole. I have not called a cat yet this year. For some reason all my good cat spots seem to be void of them this year. No sign of them at all. Oh well, that is why they call it huntin'. Brian
coues101cj Report post Posted December 21, 2009 nice job! We called in 4 foxes and 3 coyotes last weekend and didn't get anything!!!! I missed a fox, buddy missed two foxes, and couldn't get a shot at the last fox. The coyotes came about 5-10 yards from the side of me and caught some scent and they were gone, I left the shotgun in the truck only had a .17, and couldn't get a shot. Well that's my crazy story!!!
