Verndog Report post Posted December 10, 2009 I've searched and searched and can't seem to find an answer. Will the National Geographic Mapping Software work on the Garmin Etrex Vista HCx? I read one spot that says it will and another that says it won't work. Anybody have any experience with it? Thanks in advance.

Rio Report post Posted December 10, 2009 For uploading and downloading of waypoint and tracks, it should work fine, I do it all the time with my garmin 60csx. I actually prefer it over the garmin software most of the time. The Nat Geo software should be able to recognize your gps unit. If you truely need to know before going that route, I'm sure Nat Geo has a customer support center you could ask or send a question to.
Oak Report post Posted December 10, 2009 You can't actually put the NG maps on your Garmin GPS, but as others have said, you can interface with it (upload, download points, routes, etc).
