Coach Report post Posted December 3, 2009 This is a nice 1996 Salem Cobra 5th Wheel. It has been a great camper for our family, but we no longer have a pickup so we can't use it anymore. It is very clean inside and everthing works as it should - has a large fridge, A/C, ducted heating and lots of storage. Also has "flipped" axles for higher clearance. It has some minor cosmetic issues - the outer panelling on the front left is rippled where it pulled loose at one point, and the door has been rebuilt. The issues with both have been fixed - the entire front "bedroom" area was completely rebuilt where it had been damaged due to leaking around a swamp-cooler that has since been removed and the area very tightly resealed. The awning is in OK condition - I reinforced the first foot with elastomeric sealant where it was getting weathered by the sun. Asking $4900 OBO. For the asking price I will also include the Reese 5th wheel hitch.

Coach Report post Posted December 5, 2009 How about some feedback - Are we asking too much? I've seen 5th wheels this size in not nearly as good of condition go for a lot more locally. Just a bad time of year to sell - wassup?
el diablo Report post Posted December 7, 2009 Your price is about right. I've been looking for one for a while now and that's about what they're goin for. Definately a bad time of year and the economy doesn't help with trying to sell toys right now. I practically had to give my quads away when I sold them a couple of months ago. Only thing I can suggest is take out the negative comments about it from the add. You scare em off before they even consider it. Good luck
