josh Report post Posted December 3, 2009 Got out this a.m. for two stands. First set looked great, nice boulders and thick washes. Just what I like for cats,but no takers. Decided to walk further in and make another stand in the same area. This time I busted out my beat up Whirling Woodpecker. I have not used a decoy yet this season. At the five minute mark I am slowly panning and see this pretty guy sitting on a boulder looking at the noise from my Minaska M-1. He jumped off the rock and then catches the movement of the decoy. The cat locked on and never stopped moving towards the woodpecker until the Benelli Nova barked with some #4 buck. This cat has the prettiest coat of any bobcat I have ever shot.
