I'm curious to see what others do . These are the things I'd like to see.

1)The limit you have put on yourself for shooting at a deer (No matter how tempting you won't let it fly past this distance)

2)Your comfort zone (Will let it fly even if all factors aren't perfect)

3)Your longest harvest shot (Longest verified harvest shot)

 

Mine are:

 

1)Limit-40

2)Zone-Inside 30 yards

3)Harvest-17 yards

 

Can have a comfort zone and limit that are different. For me 30-40 only if everything is right.

Ya just got done watching UFC 106 and I see this thread going the distance and getting bloody.

I have a feeling ethics will be questioned.

I have an 80 yard pin so 80 I am shooting. As for the other questions, I will shoot 100 yard shots but would rather not. That being said my longest confirmed archery kill is 105 yards.

This was just out of curiosity. I wanted to see where I stood in the mix and didn't intend for it to question anything or open up anything. I didn't even intend on commenting on anything just kind of wanted to get averages for my own knowledge.

My avatar. Just a little 3 point coues but it was my first archery buck ever. I have killed 4 pigs a cow and last week a bull with my bow. Getting that coues with the bow was evading me so I had to reach out further to finally get one.

zone: 60

killed: 77 (but it was a mule deer)

I wish I could get good with a rifle at long distance! It is much easier to practice with a bow though. A lot cheaper too!

limit: 80 yrds

zone: < 50 yrds

killed: 60 yrds and 10 ft.

 

Definitely liked the 10 ft shot a lot better than the 60 yrd shot.
