Back country bivy Alaska mountain goat hunt. (Pic heavy)

Recommended Posts

Looks like an amazing trip, those pictures are incredible. Congrats on a beautiful goat. But how did you stay "warm and dry" in those conditions - in a bivy??? Congrats again.

Warmth came from the sleeping bag inside the bivy and dry is the whole point of a bivy.

Bivys are made out of Gore-Tex or Pre-Vent or E-Vent materials. These are waterproof/breatheable materials. They are basically a weather barrier.

Fantastic looking billy.. When I get around to making my goat hunt, I plan on waiting til the late season as well.. The cape is 3/4 the trophy on those bad boys.

Again, great looking goat and looks like a helluva adventure. My kinda hunt!!
