reganranch Report post Posted November 15, 2009 Hey everybody after 5 years of putting in for deer, elk and pronghorn me and my dad were blessed with a december 11 coues hunt in 30a and weve never hunted this time of year and dont really know what to expect? We are headn out thanksgiving weekend and first week of december to start scouting im not askn for any honey holes just a place to start scouting and put some glass time in on the hill. Get your truck and drive it around and look for a place that looks good, has water close by. And start glassing. Put in the time and it'll pay off. All of the area is good! tontotom Report post Posted November 15, 2009 Unless we get some moisture expect it to be dry. You can also expect a lot of Border Patrol activity. Weather can be super hot or cold so prepare for both. The breeding doesn't take place until January but you might see some good bucks making scrapes and following does or just hanging loose. If you haven't hunted the area before be prepared for a lot of private property, no hunting areas and locked gates. By your post you seemed most interested in the time of year, hope that helps.
