josh Report post Posted November 14, 2009 Tried doing a little calling before work a couple days this week and it went well. Started the week calling in a coyote quick into the stand and put it down. Then called in another and missed about two minutes later. Ended that stand calling in five coyotes and only took one. A couple days later went out with a buddy and hit some fox country. Before 1pm we called one coyote,a bobcat, and five fox. This is what we ended up with. Then this a.m.Set up at the base of a big canyon and within a minute of turning on my Minaka m-1 I had a grey come in and just watched him it was a young one so gave him a pass. As soon as I look back at the caller that is ten yds in front of me there is a nice size fox looking at me. It was cool just to watch it looking for the rabbit that was making noise. Let it walk also. Kept calling and a few minutes later this old male came in.
Coach Report post Posted November 14, 2009 Nice, but don't let my wifey see those foxes! We have them all named here - Farrah Foxit Mgr. (the alpa female), Ms. Sexy Fox (the slim, shy female), Foxy Foxy (the alpha male), the "kids"... they all come into the yard and play with footballs, climb into feeders...like a bunch of wild pets. Nothing but kudos for your trophies, but they sure are beautiful animals!
