New Politically correct term

Recommended Posts

I heard a new politically correct term on the news last night. The Bible is now being referred to as "a religious book". I think that I'm going to lose it...............................

It was the Bible and the word of God for as long as I can remember, now it is a religious book so that they can include it with several others, if we keep going down the road we are pretty soon it will be considered a fairy tale. I think it won't be long before they try and get rid of any books that teach people to think for themselves, they will get rid of the people that teach that as well. Our constitution will be a historical document and not what all our laws are based upon and what the supreme court uses as a base for all decisions.

Here is the oath we swear when enlisting in the military, I guess when you have no belief in God this oath doesn't mean anything specifically when every single person signing up knows exactly what God we are referring to. We killed the punk terrorist Mcveigh we better kill this bastard as well. How much money are we going to spend with medical needs to fully recover the terrorist at Fort Hood, and the only way I will say it is worth it is if they tie him to the back of two tanks and pull him apart on Pay Per View.

The wordings of the current oath of enlistment and oath for commissioned officers are as follows:

"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

(Title 10, US Code; Act of 5 May 1960 replacing the wording first adopted in 1789, with amendment effective 5 October 1962).

"I, _____ (SSAN), having been appointed an officer in the Army of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of _____ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God."

(DA Form 71, 1 August 1959, for officers.)
