WFGinNM Report post Posted November 12, 2009 I need to get something a bit sturdier for the 15's, my Manfrotto 718b is fine with my Steiner's but moves too much with the Swaro's. Carbon Fiber is not an option at the moment. What would some of the pro's and con's you folks would look for in these two set ups? 330 EZ vs. 340 EZ 62" max height vs. 56.5" 48" w/ lowered column vs. 44.5" 23.5" folded vs. 19.5" 3 leg sections vs. 4 3.66 lbs vs. 3.61 lbs. Both have the SH-707E head Would the longer folded length (4") with 3 leg sections be sturdier than the lighter (shorter) 4 leg sections? I can live with the added 1/2lb of the 330 if having less leg sections would make them sturdier. Anyone have any experience with the SLIK SH-707E head? I plan on getting a Jim White next. Thanks, --Bill
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted November 12, 2009 I have always been a fan of the three leg extensions instead of 4. I also have a Jim White head. It takes a little getting used to because it is so smooth, at first you tend to think it is "too smmoth". Once you get used to it, you realize it is Gods gift to glassing!
