GameHauler Report post Posted October 25, 2009 As some of you know I recently won a muzzle (Encore 209X50) It is a used gun and the donor of it still ML hunts and kept all the goodies that go along with owning one. I am looking for recommendations on a good starter kit that would allow me to go to the range and fire my new toy. I order The Modern Muzzle Loader by Sam Fadala and have started reading it as well as a lot of internet reading. Any input is appreciated Thanks

Redman Report post Posted October 26, 2009 I was also new this year to ML. I did not buy a "starter kit" but picked up the following items: ML Cleaning Kit with extra patches T/C Bore Butter 209 Primer remover Blackhorn 209 T/C Powder Measure by volume 209 Remington Kleenbore Primers Sabots (settled on T/C Shockwave 250 grain with 90 grain of Blackhorn powder) "ramrod sabot adaptor, don't know what its officially called but made for your sabot so when you load it, it does not harm the tip) T/C speedloaders (black ones) Good luck it is fun to "tinker" Redman
