elkhutnaz Report post Posted October 19, 2009 My youngest filled his first elk tag yesterday in 6A, What a Blast, we had elk around everyday and we were in some great bulls and some good rutting activity all weekend. We also saw 45 antelope water at a tank saturday afternoon, Friday the wind got us and some other hunters but we hunted hard and everything came together Sunday morning, got into a area we had hunted in the pass and we had 20 plus bulls screaming a good 45 minutes before light so we waited till it got light enough and started glassing, we had elk everywhere, we worked into the wind and he connected on a 175 yard broadside shot and she went down, it was a blast hope everyone had a good weekend as well.
