Red Rabbit Report post Posted October 19, 2009 The Paria and Vermillion Cliff in northern Arizona was the weekend destination for three of us photographers, Matt, Shane and myself. We were trying to draw a permit to go to the Wave in North Coyote Buttes, but there were up to 114 people applying in the draw. Unable to beat the odds, we spent a couple of days in the southeast Cottonwood Teepees section of South Coyote Buttes. Here is a sampling of the scenery with some quickly edited photos. Sunday morning, Shane took off to Utah, and Matt and I ventured to White Pockets for a few hours. There are a lot of scenic areas to explore along the Arizona-Utah border, so more weekend jaunts are to be had. Doug~RR

Red Rabbit Report post Posted October 19, 2009 Some more. Seems amazing how the different colored minerals get separated distinctly and layered evenly, and then the sedimentary layers become so convoluted just a short distance away. Doug~RR
