need some help, scouting past 5 weekends HARD, with no sign of any bucks . please help steer me in a direction other than south of 260. I am willing to do the work , I am taking my youngest son on his first hunt so I want to make it a memoriable one .

Get out very early, find a good vantage point, get some good glass, and look under every bush. Look for some of the steeper canyons in the area and search the areas going in and our of them- saddles and draws. Brush choked bedding areas is where they'll end up after sunrise - hard to see into- but that's where thay are. Wet Beaver and West Clear Creek ar good drainages to scout.

Ill be up there myself ,just be patient and the mountain will move..ROUGHER THE CANYON BIGGER THE REWARD....There not mule deer you need to get off ur 4wheels.........!!

DESERT DOGGS , Thanks for the reply . Your statement about getting off your 4wd, I agree with. Me and MY hunting partner plan on going in with frame packs. I feel it is the only way go, to fully cover some of the canyons. The bigger the canyon the better .... good luck..
