desertsheep Report post Posted October 12, 2009 Here's my sons first coues buck. I had found five bucks opening morning with one being a real smoker. We made a game plan and waited all afternoon for the big buck to show himself again.He never did. This buck showed up and since Brock had never taken a deer we opted to put the hammer down on him. The closest we could get was 400 yds because of a deep canyon. Brocks got set up with his 300wsm and smoked him with one shot.
