azhuntnut Report post Posted October 11, 2009 Spotted this guy and his buddy in an open area. I set up my son for a shot, while I worked my way around them. I was hoping they would spot me and push towards him. When they finally started his way, I didn't see him sitting in his spot anymore. He got impatient and was coming up behind me. When one of the coyotes sat down a little over 350 yards; I popped him. The other one came out behind a small hill at 397 yards. My first warning shot was just over his back, but the second dropped him. We walked back to the truck and drove over to them. When we pulled up my son noticed one was still moving a bit and finished him off for me. Both of them had the mange pretty bad. David The other coyote is just over the hill in the background. He just recently passed his hunters ed course and will be pig hunting in the spring, and deer hunting in the fall. I have been draggin him along with me since he was about five years old.
