John O Report post Posted September 28, 2009 I was amazed at how many spikes and forkies there were with does during the fall archery bow hunt. I'll bet the early rifle hunt is going to be a slaughter. Thought I would post a photo of a spike and two does bedded down at about 300 yards. I stalked to within 20 yards of them, but could not get a shot off due to some thick stuff in my way.

John O Report post Posted September 29, 2009 good stufff! I really cant wait to get behind some glass for my hunt... which one is the devil horn the middle guy or the farthest to the right? The one in the middle, that looks more brown than grey. A little tough to make out the antlers, but here is another guy that was within 100 yards of the same spot 3 mornings in a row. The 4 does he was with busted me each morning.
