GodIsGood Report post Posted September 26, 2009 I was really struggling my first week of elk in 5B-N. We had seen a white Dodge 4x4 with a CWT sticker in our area... but it wasnt until we saw a few really nice racks in their camp that we decided to stop in and say hello. While discussing the hunt and our struggles, Ryan and Regan's mom asked us to stay for supper... AND WHAT FEAST!!! We not only got specific tips on where and what had worked for them, but we had a delicious steak supper and enough Crown 'n Coke that I missed the morning run 'n gun! We had an awesome time visiting with them around the fire and I commented on how richly blessed they were and how envious I was that they 3 generations, husbands, wives, grandparents and fresh-out the ovens of family enjoying nature together. Just the way the Good Lord intended it! Thank you again Ryan, Regan, Kelly, Kristen and Jim for sharing your supper, fire and family that evening. Sorry I cant recollect the boys' names - musta been the Crown! I do seem to recall camo diapers! I hope when I get older and my family [or a nursing home somewhere] are tending to me - that they make Depends in camo! Gr8 White Jr Report post Posted September 26, 2009 Absolutely!!! I consider myself VERY blessed to know the McCarthy family! There are no words to describe what a wonderful family they are. You exprienced exaclty what Angie and I experienced the first time we met the McCarthy family, the most friendly, sharing and welcoming people you will ever meet. Not trying to sound all mooshy and stuff but meeting the McCarthy family was one of the best things to ever happen to Angie and I! -Tracy
GodIsGood Report post Posted September 27, 2009 Thanks Tracy, but do you remember their screen names here? I think Reagan said he was "Tines", but doesnt spend as much time on the board as Ryan. Hoping they were able to put their Sargent on a bull.
AZwest16 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 Hey Kurt, I just wanted to say thank you for the kind words about our family. It was somthing I was fortunate to grow up in and I don't really know any other way. We will have to all get drawn again next year (Hopefully) and do it all over again. You have me screen name now and Ryan's is RAM. He has a post about this years hunt under the bowhunting section of the forum as do I. Regan

RAM Report post Posted October 2, 2009 Thankyou so much for your kind words Kurt. I am very glad you chose to stop by and share your hunt with us that night, it was sure a enjoyable campfire that evening. I'm sorry to hear you didn't tag out but your post about your hunt really puts the true meaning of "Hunting" into perspective. PS. Firstcoueswas80, I will try and get tommy on CWT (small world having two common friends). -Ryan
