First Yote

Recommended Posts

During my 2009 Bull elk hunt, I was lucky enought to have this young pup walk into water one evening. It was able to take a 27 yard shot, the pup went 40 yards and crashed. Tracy who was with me, was going crazy. Thanks for the help Tracy.

That was AWESOME!!! I was more nervous than Ryan was when that coyote came in. I've been trying to kill a coyote with my bow for years but it just never seems to work out. Congrats again Ryan! You made one heck of a shot and put him down. Thanks for letting me come up and hunt with you and your family! I had a blast!

I just took my 2nd yote on my elk hunt on water. He walked in to 30 yds and stopped knowing something was not right. I stuck a broadhead through his shoulder at 30 yds and he flopped and dropped. The bull elk I shot came in about 30 minutes afterwards. In fact, the bull may have been spooked by the dead coyote as he bolted away as he neared about 30 yds from the wallow.

Nice job.

I shot one about 4 years ago.

he went about 20 yds and piled up.

I crawled out of the blind and took him about

20yds downwind from the blind and preceded to hunt.

I was a bit worried about the smell of the blood but had a

90" buck right on top of it so I learned something.

Glad you were able to take out another killer ;)

Yeah I was worried that the smell would bother the elk, but after the shot we took him down wind about 40 yards and ended up having a young bull come into water with no problem.
