shaft Report post Posted September 22, 2009 Does anybody know anything about the nikon monarch 12x 56's and if they are worth buying? I found them online for a good price but was wondering if they were worth my time and money.

Coues79 Report post Posted September 24, 2009 Haven't looked through the 12's but the 10's are pretty slick. I had a pair and they were definitely a good glass for the money. Doug at cameraland might have a good deal on them. His demo's and refurb's are as good as new. I've bought from him and haven't ever been disappointed. Red Rabbit Report post Posted September 24, 2009 If you are looking for some good high-powered coues glass at a real good price, you might strongly consider the Minox 15x58ED that CameraLand has for about $550. http://www.cameralandny.com/optics/minox.pl?page=62132 Doug~RR

BowFly Report post Posted October 13, 2009 Hey, it's really a matter of what you like. You might go to Sportman's Warehouse and try them out. I use Nikon Monarch's 10X42 mostly. Very clear. I also have a pair of Carter's Astro Bino's I use instead of a spotting scope, but for a good all around pair, you can't go wrong with Nikon Monarch's. But, if you can, go check them out for yourself. You might even find some you like better, and be able to get them online (eBay) for a good deal too. My 2 cents.
