DesertBull Report post Posted June 4, 2005 Wow! Bass Pro Shops, Cabela's, and 2 Sportsman's Warehouses? I bet Sportsman's Warehouse is second guessing their choice to put 2 stores in the valley now and none in Tucson or Flagstaff. I feel sorry for the mom and pop stores though. I don't see how they can compete with this, the internet, and a Walmart on every corner.
Diamondbackaz Report post Posted June 4, 2005 There is a sportsmans warehouse that is suppose to be opening in Tucson.
az4life Report post Posted June 5, 2005 I think It is going to be great for the sportsmen and women in the valley and even the southwestern US. It was jsut too far to go to get to Cabellas and the internet is good, but not what you need when you gotta have it now! Many Mom and Pop stores will suffer, I agree. But those who survive will do so based on premier, and personal customer service. You do not get that from Walmart, Sportsmans or anyone else.

BASS Report post Posted June 5, 2005 I can't decide which one I should work for! It won't matter though, at then end of each week I will still have to pay them after they keep my check. LOL It would be cool to work at Bass Pro Shops with "Mr. Bass" on my name tag. BTW the tucson store is due in October I think.
az4life Report post Posted June 5, 2005 only 1 1/2 miles from the house. can't wait. mike <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am about 5 miles north from it! I read about the whitewater rafting park in the same azcentral article. Sounds neat if it happens. I must say it does bug me somewhat how the city finances the private enterprise so willingly with our taxes. It will take them about 10 years to recover the money in new taxes but maybe that is a good return?
