Arizona Outfitter Missing

Recommended Posts

For those of you that haven't heard, my friend Larry Heathington, the owner of Sheep Limited, who lives in Williams has been missing since Friday, September 11th.

Larry was suppose to meet two clients on Friday in New Mexico to go on a private lands antelope hunt, and when his cousin last spoke to him he was two hours from Secorro.

He hasn't been heard from since Thursday afternoon.

Larry was in his gray Ford F-350 Super Duty, towing his Jeep (photo attached) Sahara.

A missing person's report has been made with the Holbrook, AZ Police Department as someone close to Larry said they had seen his truck/jeep on Monday in Holbrook.

I will attach a photo of Larry on this post, and please, we are very concerned about this situation and fear for Larry's safety. If you know Larry, you know it is not like him to not show up where and when he is suppose to.

If you know ANYTHING about where Larry is, or have seen his vehicles please contact the Holbrook PD or call me at 928-681-4867.

Thank you,

Larry was the outfitter/guide for my desert sheep hunt in 1994. Missing an appointment with a client does not sound like him at all. I hope he is alive and well. Please keep us posted.

This is a really sad and scary deal. I hope they find him alive and well. If he was 2 hours from Soccorro, that's nearly in the middle of nowhere to begin with and then if they saw his truck in Holbrook thats just plain crazy (means he had to come back through Hatch and a few other small towns). I just hope and pray all is well with him. The jeep should be easy to spot. My prayers are for a safe and happy recovery!!

Follow up Post form Don Martin:

Guys:

I'm in the process of getting the license plate of the truck. The jeep has personalized plate SheepLTD..

We're working on a flyer too.

I'm told that the Coconino County Sheriff's Office is in charge of the missing persons case, I'll get their number and post it.

Larry has been entered into the NCIC (National Criminal Investigation Center) database.

I think the vehicles have too.

Thanks for all you help guys, Larry is one of us and if we were out there missing, we'd want everyone looking for us.

Driving to Socorro from Williams, Larry would have gone through Holbrook and Springerville. Two hours from Soccoro would put him somewhere near the Arizona/New Mexico border between Round Valley and Quemado. I plan to cruise the back roads on the Arizona side on Saturday. If Larry met with foul play, I suspect the perp would ditch the Jeep and continue on with Larry's truck. An elk hunt is under way in that area now, so a Jeep parked off the highway for a week would be less likely to raise suspicions of a rancher or anyone else who might see it..

For any of you guys that have connections with anyone with a plane it sure would be nice if maybe they could volunteer their time and plane to fly up around that area. I'd be willing to donate money immediately to help pay for fuel if someone would be willing to fly. Find the person and tell me where to pay and I'll be first in line. I don't know Larry but we need to find him ASAP!!!!!
