gotcoues Report post Posted September 17, 2009 I purchased an H & R single shot 243 and my kids love it. Super small and light weight, I can't remember the price exactly but it was under 200 for sure. It's dropped two carp in their tracks with 80gr core-lokt Rem bullets so far and I'm hoping a coues and some pigs this season. My 10 and 12 yr olds will be using it for their hunts this season. I purchased the rifle at Sportsmans in Tucson.

I have to agree on this one. Very impressed for the money. My son carried it all day with no problem, wish mine was that light!
