KGAINES Report post Posted June 3, 2005 Most of what I said about tractors and dynamite is in jest (not that I wish it couldn't happen)but it would do nothing for access, why doesnt another rancher allow access if a road is built, maybe another would sell a strip. I still think she is holding the public hostage and needs to be prosecuted for that, and the child molestor should get what he deserves. If there is another route in there then everybody should take that, screw her and her fee.
couesdiehard Report post Posted June 3, 2005 .270, Just when I think you have lost all of your sense (.270 better than an 06 and a .300!) you go and totally redeem yourself. Seriously, you are right about being unreasonable. I think patience and understanding will work the best in this situation too. Believe me I don't agree with the lady, but I would be pretty fired up if someone had molested my son for years and my son was now a molester! I would just handle it a lot different than she did. She is doing what she thinks will help her son, as screwed up as it is. Blasting, bulldozing, and gunfire won't solve a thing. Lee
.270 Report post Posted June 3, 2005 the whole thing is stupid. what does lockin' a road down on araviapa have to do with baby rapin'? i don't see how she correlates the two. her kid got in trouble. so what? i don't care what caused it, why's she gotta lock the road? talking to the folks i know that know her, she's really an odd person. but folks could maybe make that arguement about me. i think what she's doing is about as stupid and phony as anything i've ever seen. but folks bein' ignernt back to her won't do anything but help re-inforce her cause in her mind. one or more sportsman groups need to file a suit and get it opened up. another thing that could happen is the next turd floater that gully washes aravaipa will demolish the road below her gate and there are a lot of other landowners there that will want the road fixed and the county ain't gonna do it as long as the gate is locked. she ain't the only land owner. there are several others below her that she gave a key to that are more or less going along with her. once their road gets washed out, they're gonna want the tax payers to fix it for em and i don't see that happening as long as that gate is locked. in fact, it's been locked long enough now that it has to be getting in bad shape. some of the crossings need a lot of attention all the time. most o' the time if you leave unreasonable people to their devices it comes back on em. if everyone just ignored her wierdness and came over the mountain when they want to hunt in there, she won't have anything to hold over anyone and instead of locking the public out, she'll be locking herself in. KGAINES Report post Posted June 3, 2005 You would figure that it would come down to lawyers. For someone thats a few sandwiches short of a picnic and has pulled guns on people for trespassing or less, it makes me wonder how the person she accuses of molesting her son is still alive, sane people have killed for less, it is just a thought. Lark you summed it up in saying that this whole thing is stupid.
az4life Report post Posted June 4, 2005 My agreement with stupidity being the common denominator in the story. I hate legislating every little thing as there are too many laws already, but in this case, it Seems that we need a STOOPID Landowner Law to go with the STOOPID motorist law. Diamondbackaz Report post Posted June 4, 2005 Bottom line here is, the county should have gained right of ways years ago since they maintain the roads. The county has to make the decision to quit maintaining the road until it has the right of ways.
