bowsniper Report post Posted September 14, 2009 I am the cheapest guy I know, but I couldn't help myself. I sent Joe Wilson's campaign $50 for standing up and telling the the truth! Mark

bowsniper Report post Posted September 15, 2009 You might want your money back... http://www.opencongress.org/articles/view/...ants-Healthcare I have not problem with him disagreeing but... at the right time... J This is a bs, hyped up story from the left. Wilson voted for a larger bill, that included authorizing $250,000 annually between 2003 and 2008 for government reimbursements to hospitals that provide treatment for uninsured illegal immigrants. Hospitals are legally required to treat everyone, including illegals. Read the House Bill yourself. The bill does say that illegals are not covered, but then it also says that no identification or proof of citizenship is required to be treated under the health care plan. The left says that providing ID, a SSN, or other forms of verification of citizenship is "unnecessary" and "burdensome". So what do you think will happen? The president is obviously lying, nothing new for presidents. But someone has to start calling them on it. Mark

Rembrant Report post Posted September 15, 2009 And what Obama is doing is OK? Welcome to the United Socialist Republic of Americo - If he keeps getting his way. The healthcare fiasco - if it passes - won't implement for three years. That gives him time to give all the illegals citizenship - like he promised the Mexican president he would do. Presto! No more illegals! No one is refused medical treatment in this country anyway. And what's the hurry? WHATS THE HURRY? I'll tell ya. He's gotta get this socialist junk ram rodded through before the slobbering love affair ends. And yep, he's a big fat liar. He said No federal dollars would ever be spent on abortions. He also said there are absolutely no earmarks in the stimulous package. He says this with a straight face, or rather, a bold face. He says he's gonna "Call out' those that oppose his plan". Don't people have the right to oppose a plan they don't agree with - IN A FREE COUNTRY? Mike

natureboyfloyd Report post Posted September 17, 2009 Regardless of Joe Wilson's comment being appropriate, or not, the President was, in effect, lying to the American people. He knew that he wanted to insure the non-citizens, and had Joe not spoke out, the micro-debate may have not started on the issue of illegals and health care. If language is to have any meaning, we need to get rid of darn near all the liers. Why are we willing to continually tolerate this double speak, as a nation of free people? Joe Wilson is my Man on the Year: concise, accurate, and probably willing to provide his transcripts.
COUESAZ Report post Posted September 17, 2009 He also is a vet that stood up for our rights. He has four sons that sreve us in the armed services. Two in Iraq. What Dems can say that. He has every right to share his thoughts. It is OK to interupt every five words in aplauds and cheers that you agree with him during the speech, But you can not disagree. I just get sick of the double standard of the left. They could boo bush in same settings. They can protest everything from the war to cows fart to much. But we can not protest the ruin of this country. I find it great that the congres is starting to question almost everything this adminstration is doing. They are starting to question why we need czars on the payroll when you have the cabnet hand picked to do the job they are doing. The web of not for profits and the comunity organizers involved with them becoming leaders of this country to pay them back for there suport is call for true change in the next elections. I am with Beck on the fact that we need A whole new group of REfounders of our country to come along and save this country. I can not stand the true hate the far left has for our country. They are willing to destroy us because they hate us. Anyways i could go on all day with this garbage it makes me so angry. We need to come together as a new group and demand the government starts working for us not us working for them. The polls show that America is awake now and saying hold on one minute here why do we need this change so fast lets just take a look at what is going on here. I fill there is hope for America to stay on top and not become the rest of the world.
ghost hunter Report post Posted September 18, 2009 I feel cheated that I missed that historic moment. Disrespectful...maybe. Appropriate...most likely. Its time people stopped being "politically correct", worried about hurting someones else's feelings and not holding individuals accountable for their actions. I try and watch some of the big speeches not so much to hear what they have to say, but to watch the people in the background. So...which is more inappropriate...Joe Wilson yelling, "You lie" or Pelosi looking like one of those windup jack-n-box toys jumping up and down while applauding like crazy every 10th or 12th word out of Obama's mouth or Hilary, when she was still Senator sitting there with that dumb smerk on her face looking like Alfred P. of Mad Magazine, rolling her eyes at everything Bush said. Who knows. All I do know is that voting is not enough anymore. If we, the silent majority, don't start speaking up and become politically active we really won't be able to justify complaining later when things get worse.
