Has anybody been listening/watching Glenn Beck the last few years/months. I have my own thoughts on him (I will keep to myself at this point), but I really think that he has been starting a lot of good debate for our beliefs. I want to hear what members think of him. Good or bad, I think there may be some both ways. If you are not watching/listening you may want to start. He is very interesting to say the least. So lets hear it, is he good or bad for our cause?

I like Beck. I think he wants America to succeed for a long time, and that we should continue following the direction laid down by the Constitution and founders. I agree with most of what he says, and I like that he tries to keep people accountable for their words/actions.

I agree with that one. Most of the views he has are good for us. like all talk shows though, he can get me riled at times. All said and done, I give him an A.

I like his message, but his presentation does those of us who share his beliefs a major disservice. He comes off as a buffoon.

I agree Bill. I really like what he has to say. I think he is very different than the rest of the republican mouth pieces. He is a Conservative but he is not afraid to give it to the republicans when they are out of line. I don't agree with all he says but a good deal of it. My only problem with the guy is he is such a drama queen. I really wish he would think about how he comes across.

I would mark him as more independant. I listen to him all the time. I am with him in every way. He wants what is right for this country. I think that he is just so frustrated with everything this new whitehouse is doing that he truly is (like he says) up the crazy tree. I am right up there with him. Rush, sean hanity, Glen Beck, Laura Ingrahm, Ann colter, even Bill O'Rily. Now if we could get just one main stream media station would jump on board.

frustrated to say the least, scared to some extreme.it would be nice if the media would all get all on the same banter.thankfully we have these people to speak up & ,speak out to try to energize & wake up the sleeping public.people have become way to passive.they all bitch ,but are not gonna do anything to change it.their parents took care of all that all their lives .why should i do anything?im too busy !!! im a yuppie!!!!GET A LIFE,GET INVOLVED

Some think that the "center-right" of today is where the "left" used to be. I think that it is time for the pedulum to start to swing back the other way.

After reading about the 9-12 Project, and the Tea Party's, its too bad the only one they had scheduled for Arizona was in Yuma. Anyone know how that went? The rest of them shown on Fox were bigger than expected.

Beck's message is true as are his intentions (I believe) but emphasized with drama a bit more than my liking. Fact is in this instant gratification world without the drama, a lot of people won't listen.

I can listen to him for an hour or so at a time and ususually get the message in 1/4 of that time.

Rush's presentation on the other hand is too pompous to take for more than 15 minutes at a time while I agree with most of his assertions as well.

Rush lost me when he became a mouthpiece for the Humane Society of the United States, the leader of what he used to call "animal rights whackos" and began linking its website to his.

I have not listened to that hypocrite since.

We need to get busy educating conservative commentators about hunting. Some of them are turning against us.

Besides Rush Limbaugh, there's also ESPN columnist Rick Reilly, Executive Editor of The Weekly Standard Fred Barnes, Republican speechwriter Mathew Scully and Bill O'Reilly. There's quite a bit of information about this in a column entitled "The Animal Right" by Thomas McIntire in the October issue of Sports Afield.

When someone defended Robert Vick's dogfighting bust by saying it's no different from deer hunting, the New York City-born O'Reilly had Rob Sexton (U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance) on his show to refute that remark. Sexton came unprepared to deal with the question at any depth and O'Reilly seemed to take the lack of any credible defense from someone who ought to know as confirmation that the comparison is valid.

Not that it matters any more, but Paul Harvey was also an animal sentimentalist who harbored a dislike for hunters.

We need to get our story out, especially to influential people who just might believe us if given the facts, but somehow we just can't seem to get it done.

Beck was origionally on one of the liberal tv news stations as a 'token' conservative. That was good for them until he got better at his job and a lot more informed. In fact he got so good at the conservative angle that he got fired and then FOX picked him up. He rubs alot of us older guys the wrong way with the attitude, but he is reaching a lot of the younger folks. It's all about strategy. If you can get passed the personality, his message is right on the mark. In fact, the last month or so, he has been exposing Obama's appointees or 'Czars', to the point where I wouldn't be surprised if he showed up missing one day.

And for that, I believe he is a great American.

Mike
