desertdog Report post Posted September 12, 2009 He has two posts, and both of them are the same... Thinkin he might be trying to sneak some free advertising. That may be true. What I would really be interested in hearing is if they have any bullets in stock at a reasonable price.

Couzer Report post Posted September 12, 2009 Its because there the highest price in town. And demand has slowed down a little. Amen to that, they are way high priced
big heavy Report post Posted September 15, 2009 there prices are not that bad, i have paid more in the past at other places. i have been going there since i was 12 and they have got what i need or they will order it for me at no extra charge. the big box stores suck they wont order anything and when you ask the kid behind the counter he says "i dont know" some times the others are cheeper but they wont get things for you and bear mnt will went there today and they have a butt load of realoading sutff. and when i get the $$$ will have them order my new varmit 220 swift that i have been wanting. when i asked the wearhouse just got smoke blown at me and well if we get it but we may not can you check i asked they said well there is no way to tell you will just have to come back ya you bet ya. not. going to the bear mountain and geting just what i want when i want so there
HEADACHE Report post Posted September 16, 2009 If they have large pistol primers and some 45 bullets I'll drive out there whatever it costs. . . . where is it?
samtat2 Report post Posted September 18, 2009 i been shopping at bear mountain fot about a year. and i will admit some of there stuff is a little expensive. but to me the way they treat there custumers is worth it for a dollar or two more. its nice when you walk in and they know your name, when they order stuff that you like just to have it in stock for you.i buy bullets for reloading there all the time last i checked it hornady .224 was 18.99 at bas pro. gosh darnet its the same price at bear mountain! we could order on line and pay shipping cost or we can walk in and meet some freindly people that dont mind a good conversation.if anyone decides to head down to bear mountain tell sam the tattoo guy sent you theyll treat you right!! ask for howie or willie.as far as MY OPINION goes and i dont say it to offend anyone. customer service is worth it no matter were you go. oh yeah aint they one of the sponsers now for coues whitetail
CouesWhitetail Report post Posted September 18, 2009 Yes, Bear Mountain is now a sponsor of CW.com, so when you shop there you are not only supporting them, but supporting CW.com. I will send the link to this thread to Ed so he can have some feedback on prices. All businesses have different overhead/expenses and charge what they have to to stay in business. Personally, I always prefer to give my money to a small store than a big box store even if they are cheaper. But that's just me. Amanda
BearMtn Report post Posted September 18, 2009 Bear Mountain price matches in stock items as long as we do not sell it for less than it cost us. All you have to do is tell us who is cheaper. We have had to pay higher wholesale prices during the last 12 Months to keep things in stock. Our factory direct Connections where not able to ship us very much of the products we ordered because of the ridiculously high demand. So we chose to get product from any source available to make sure we had what people needed or wanted. That pushed our prices up. WE WILL GLADLY PRICE MATCH ANY IN STOCK ITEM AS LONG AS WE DO NOT HAVE TO SELL IT FOR LESS THAN WE PAID FOR IT. Thanks for you Support!

AZbowhntr Report post Posted September 21, 2009 I have been going into Bear Mtn for several years now and will keep going. They have always price matched for me. I bought my Zeiss rifle scope and it was $40 bucks cheaper somewhere else and they matched it no problem. Plus Howie is a great guy.
PJM Report post Posted October 8, 2009 Bear Mountain Rocks.. The customer service is great and they price match and their "make me an offer sale" is hard to beat Try getting that at Bass Pro or Guns ETC. I have been looking for small rifle primers for my 6.5 grendle about 8 months. BM had Federal primers for $42. That's awesome!! Their powder prices are cheaper than I've see at BasPro or Sportsman's. I'd rather spend my $$ with a local shop then one of these big corporation stores in the valley. Regards, PJM
elmergoo Report post Posted October 9, 2009 It is funny cause I always go out and hit the big box stores looking for that one hard to find item here in Mesa like 75 grain 3 blade Muzzy's to no avail. Stop in at Bear Mountain close to my house and sure enough. Not only do they have the broadheads , but all the replacement parts for them to.I stopped in when they opened one morning to get a ultra-light fishing rig in a 2 piece ( last minute deal of course ) and all they had was one piece fishing rods. I ended up getting a one piece fishing rig( cuzz I was in a hurry) and the feller told me if I was not happy with the rig AFTER my trip to bring it back and he would give me my money back. I could go on. GREAT PEOPLE-GREAT SERVICE. Try that at a big box store. Good luck to you fellars at Bear Mountain. You will always get my business.
