CouesWhitetail Report post Posted September 9, 2009 Wow, that's just a great story!! Love how you just happened to be at full drawn. And I loved your description of your two seconds of thoughts all jumbled together! Congratulations! Amanda
lionhunter Report post Posted September 9, 2009 Congrats on the lion! The chance of seeing him, within bow range, and while at full draw just looking around........ 1:1,000,000 does not even begin to measure it... Congrats again. As far as Taxidermist go my recommendation would be "Ahead of the game taxidermist". He did my lion and did a really nice job. The Number is (623)572-5067 He also does great deer, elk, etc. As far as freezing the lion and then taking it to cattle and carp (game and fish) the best way to do it is to block the mouth open before you freez it. Sound a bit too late for that. If you thaw it out to take in a would not re-freeze it. Just keep it in the fridge or ice chest until you take it into the tax. Basser15 Report post Posted September 9, 2009 Saweeet! Congrats on the lion. I think you should find a way to mount your lion and your son's buck from this season together.
hunter4life Report post Posted September 9, 2009 Congratulations, that is an amazing story!! It looks like a pretty big lion to me. As far as taxidermists go, I have heard many good things about Phil Soucy(I think he is in Montana). I have a Mt. Lion done by Woodbury Taxidermy in Ingram Texas that I think is one of the best ones I have seen. I was very happy with their work and would not hesitate to recommend him.
