125coues Report post Posted September 9, 2009 I have shot a elk in the same spot . I hit it between the shoulder and the neck , it was a slight angle and it took out both lungs.The elk only went 50yds and dropped . my shot was under 10yrds . Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
