Congressional lobbist for middle class

Just who are the congressional lobbist for the middle class?

 

When I heard this question it made me stop and think. Every other special interest group has them, so where are the ones for the rest of us. The obvious or unfortunate answer (in some cases) is: they are the people we vote into office.

 

The next question then: when they vote, whose best interest are they actually voting for? If they never hear from you, how do they know what you want? We've all talked about contacting them when it comes to hunting/gun ownership issues, but what about the rest of the issues: Health care; Immigration; Financial bailouts, etc. I don't want to sound like some radical, but I think it is time to start putting our lobbist to work for us.
