billrquimby Report post Posted May 27, 2005 Beautiful! I hope you draw a tag in that area. You've done your homework. After seeing your shots I know I'm going to put a trail camera outside my cabin! What type of equipment would I need to get shots that are magazine quality? Looking at all the trail-cam photos on this site it appears that I'd need to experiment with several lighting sources to get balanced lighting and color. Has anyone tried more than one flash for their trail cameras? Bill
BASS Report post Posted May 27, 2005 To be honest this camera was the cheapest one that Sportsman's Wherehouse had that still had a camo pattern. The higher end cameras do take better pictures, and the digital ones are amazing! But I would feel better about my $80 camera being stolen than if it was a $400 digital one. These pics also look really rough after I scanned them, but I'm still trying to figure out how to use the scanner. In real life the pictures look like anyother 35mm camera picture. Oh yeah, these are from unit 5B (not North or south, Just 5B that little spot North of Kinikinik lake sp?)

kphunter Report post Posted May 31, 2005 BTW, what unit is this?
BASS Report post Posted May 31, 2005 BTW, what unit is this? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is in 5B Not the North, or South. That little unit inbetween just called 5B. All the other "hot" spots are still closed, so I put this camera up were ever I could get into. The really hot spot is the first road that turns right as you come onto the Kinikinik lake road that comes off the highway. It's open, but there were campers everywhere when I was up there. az4life Report post Posted July 18, 2005 Hmmmm Now we have to worry about "traffic cameras" in the wilderness too! You better be sure you don't have a camera trained on you when you answer your nature call!

BASS Report post Posted July 18, 2005 Hmmmm Now we have to worry about "traffic cameras" in the wilderness too! You better be sure you don't have a camera trained on you when you answer your nature call! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have thought about that. I ussually try to keep mine in thick brush to help hide it, but I also like the thick stuff to go to the bathroom.
