cmc Report post Posted August 31, 2009 I picked up a few used trail cameras the other month and set one out on a trail last week while archery deer hunting. I went back yesterday to check on it and could tell walking up that something had messed with it. I know bears are in that canyon and sure enough there was bear hair on it and dirt and slobber all over it. The day after I set it a bear had come in and moved it sideways off the trail and pretty much ruined any chance of me getting a picture of the deer coming into to a tank. No worries as I ended up with two shots of the bear. As if she went off and posed for the camera. The tank about 25yds from here had a good size sow and very tiny cub paw prints coming into the water. The cub prints were too cute to see. If only I had remember to bring my digital camera along to capture them. I'm not sure if this is the sow as it seems to be small for the size of prints at the water but too big for the cub prints. Also the camera was messed with about 10 hours earlier in the day by a bear in the sequence of other photos I have. No animals in the shots just seeing that the camera is moving. Close up and cropped photo.... Second pose... And zoomed & cropped again... The rest of the shots were of a few skunks, rabbit and a blur of a fox. Mostly because the camera was pointed at the ground after the bear got to it. Luckily it wasn't harmed just had some cinnamon bear hair and slobber on it. I relocated it out to the tank up higher in hope to see what quality deer are showing up at the tank. I hope the batteries hold out as I won't be back for a few weeks. cmc

cmc Report post Posted September 1, 2009 yep and they are working fine as long as I don't get a bear to mess with it again. I have one down south and one up north, although it's not placed anywhere yet. Thanks again.
