Guest Gangus Report post Posted October 21, 2003 I was wondering if anyone knew any good areas in 36B. I just moved here about a year ago from Oregon and got drawn for this area. I've always wanted to take a Coues buck. Any help?
Guest DanB Report post Posted October 21, 2003 Good area but heavily road hunted. My suggestions is to get away from the roads, i.e. hiking in a mile or two into a canyon, set up high on a ridge and glass, glass, glass. Warsay Canyon has a lot of side canyons that are good. It's harder to hunt but Sycamore Canyon is also good. Both are off Ruby Road, Sycamore is south of the old mining town of Ruby with Warsaw just north of Ruby. It's a great unit with trophy coues widely distributed you just have to get high away from crowds and let the binnoculars do your walking. Good luck.
