couesblues Report post Posted May 27, 2005 I have taken six myself, five with a rifle and one with a bow. One spike, one fork (my first coues) then an 82 and followed by an 84 then a 100" 6x4. But my biggest buck came last year with my bow he grosses a shade over 103". God bless the mighty Coues.

az4life Report post Posted May 27, 2005 I have taken about 10 coues bucks over the years and helped others with as many or more. I almost get more enjoyment showing others the way to find these deer than taking one myself. (almost) Anyway, I have tagged some nice ones but really take pleasure in rating the whole hunt. Generally rate my whole hunt instead of the antlers. I have seen some big ones but never taken a monster that I felt worthy of mounting.

coueselk Report post Posted May 28, 2005 I have taken 26 coues over the years. Both AZ and in New Mexico. Largest buck grossed 118", 2nd biggest grossed 104". Have six in the 90's and lots in the 80's. Plus numerous smaller. They have all been fun and tasty.
matthewp45 Report post Posted May 28, 2005 I have only one with a rifle that went 109 3/8". I have missed three with my bow. One 5X5 in full velvet that would have been nice to actually hit. I am a 95" or better guy, until I see the first branch antlered coues then that goes out the window.
