TOAD!!! Congrats on taking such a monster buck! After seeing the TC photos I can see why you passed on those other bucks, way to stick it out. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.

Broc,

Very much congratulations on that pig of a deer. WOW! Hey, I seem to remember Jed saying something about you going to dental school. Is that correct? Are you done? That is a long haul. Congratulations again.

BEAUTIFUL BUCK! Those trail cam pictures are unreal. It's a little easier to see how you passed on a 100 incher when he knew what else was in the area. Big congratulations!!

Congrats on a once in a few lifetimes coues buck! That is what we all dream about right there. That buck appears not to have much of a spread but man the mass and points appear incredible!!! Would you mind posting how he comes up to 133"? I'm just curious as to how each of the measurements are as this buck could be the new WORLD RECORD!!!

Mike

Sorry I have not posted any replies for a couple of days but I was out of town trying to help my friends fill there tags. Anyways, a few people asked concerning his measurements and I tried to find the sheet but it must have got thrown away, so I will go and measure him again and get those posted. I understand that he will be close to the world record but due to some minor deductions I don't think he will quite clear the mark. Also, from what I have been told, a buck can't be entered as the world record unless the velvet is stripped. Don't get me wrong. My buck is a stud and I would love to have my name in the record book as the new world record holder. However, I could never strip the velvet of suck a beautiful buck just to make it into some book. This is just the way I think so I don't want anyone to think that I am forcing my beliefs on anyone else. Someone else also wanted to know whether it would score as a typical or non-typical. When I first saw the buck on trail cam and even on the ground I thought for sure he would be counted as a non-typical, but after looking at his closely he will probably be in the typical category. All his points come off his main beam in a really weird pattern but they are still coming off the main beam, so there is only one real non-typical point that only measures 1 inch. Anyways, I appreciate all of your replies and I will try to get those scores posted, thanks

Broc,

I think your making the RIGHT decision. Who cares about a record book.....it won't get anything but a bunch of questions about the unit and area you harvested the buck in.....in my opinion not worth it

i commend you on your thoughts. i dont want to say decision yet cuz ya aint had much time to think about it. i just dont understand why there is NO velvet record book. should we start our own?? the natural beauty of velvet is incredible. SYNTHETIC velvet not quite the same :( . i do believe he is non typ & in my book he is the bomb!!!!!! of course i know nothing about scoring  but i do know that is one heck of a deer. CONGRATULATIONS!
