White Mountain Shooter's Assoc., Inc. Fund Raiser

The White Mountain Shooter's Association, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to establishing a quality shooting facility in the Show Low/White Mountains area. We're working with USFS, AZGFD and other agencies toward that end. We recently enjoyed a great success when the GFD Commission voted unanimously to seek a Special Use Permit from USFS for a range at a site we identified and promoted to them.

We are holding our Third Annual King of the Mountain Shoot on Sept. 19, 2009. Registration starts at 8:30 AM. The shoot will be in Pearce sand pit off Lone Pine Dam Road. Signs will be in place from the junction of HWY 260 and Lone Pine Dam Road in Linden, outside Show Low. This is a fun shooting event for all the family and involves events in practical pistol, bullseye, blackpowder, rimfire, cowboy action and other shooting sports. All firearms and ammo and targets are supplied. Participants should bring eye and ear protection, water or other favorite NON-ALCOHOLIC beverages and a chair would be nice, too. Registration fee is $20.00 per shooter. We are trying to arrange for some snacks to be available for purchase. Awards will be given in various categories.
