ScottAdams Report post Posted May 26, 2005 Kevin, I applied for the Burros for whitetail and unit 23. Bill, that South American hunt sounds interesting. You never know you may be the lucky recipient of a unit 1 bull tag. Stranger things have happened, although not much stranger. Scott
bullwidgeon Report post Posted May 26, 2005 Deer 33 Late coues 24B late coues Then a bunch of early hunts down South. Elk 27 musket early bull 1 late rifle bull Antelope Unit 1 rifle 2B musket Sheep 24B 41 East I already put in for deer in NM. Both unit 23 (not the Burros) rifle coues hunts and a ML any deer hunt in unit 12. I have a feeling I am going to get a big blank on everything, all though my buddy I put in for deer with has bonus points so maybe we might pull a late tag here especially since it seems every one else wants carp tags this year. If I get nothing then I am taking off most of August and September and chasing around bears . Bret M.

billrquimby Report post Posted May 27, 2005 Bill, that South American hunt sounds interesting. You never know you may be the lucky recipient of a unit 1 bull tag. Stranger things have happened, although not much stranger. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi Scott. I'm excited about my Argentina trip. I'll be hunting a brockett deer, a 45-pound animal that wears only little spikes, and a white-lipped peccary. It will be the 14th type of deer I've taken (if I do), but my main reason for going is to be able to say I've hunted on six continents before I got too old to do so. Hunting brocket deer and peccaries in Argentina isn't sporting in our sense of the word. They're hunted by driving around at night with a shotgun and a spotlight. As for a Unit 1 tag, the odds are vastly against me. It took me ten years to draw my last elk tag and it was in a unit that isn't well known for producing elk. (I took a nice bull totally by accident.) I've killed eight 6x6 bulls in Arizona, one in New Mexico and one in Mongolia over the past half century so it won't bother me if I don't get drawn. az4life Report post Posted June 5, 2005 Mountain Lion! Yeah, I am in! Does anyone have data from 2004 and 2003 on leftover tags? What units and what tag counts were left after the drawing? I am still wresting with some failsafe choices. Typically drop off the app on Tuesday evening at the AGFD hqtrs so I have alittle time yet.
