invst4u Report post Posted August 24, 2009 I have been very lucky the last few years. Last year, tagged a nice 4X4 Velvet Coues scored 90.00 Net (after 60 day drying time). This year, I wanted to up the ante if possible. After a year of scouting and two pair of boots. It pays off again. After being in the stand an hour.. I passed two 3x3's. I have been waiting for one of three deer. This was one of them. I made the shot at 20 yards. The arrow was a complete pass through both shoulders and recovered 150 yards from where he was hit! I could not believe it.......... It has taken time, but well worth the effort to put my second Pope and Young buck in the book.... Roughly scores 100"..... Now, all I need is a January rut buck to complete the circle .... Easier said than done!
