Str8Shot Report post Posted August 23, 2009 hello - nice pic - they all look like youg cats - still got the kitty face probably 1 1/2 yr olds - maybe 2 - 3 cats 1 deer aweek each - so eliminating the trio will save 300 + deer a yr . take a few freinds and call'm in dying rabbit works great on young cats - !! Gary 3 cats x 52 weeks a year 's 156 deer ... Really awesome pics and it is a shame that it is not still year round state wide like two years ago ... And remember unless he was in a untit with multiple bag limits it is ONE lion a year ... I think with the lion populations that are out there and the 1 lion a year that they should just give everyone buying a hunting lic. a tag ... maybe then we could thin down the number of predetors on our big game and help these herds rebound maybe giving them the opportunity to make more tags availble on the hunts that really bring in the revenue ... Just my crazy thinking Chris

DBArcher Report post Posted August 23, 2009 Well they were way to close for comfort, my dad was the one that noticed the little male first at 18 yards and then the female came into 22 yards and the momma to about 28 yards. We were sitting in a ground blind and I had the camera resting on the edge of the blind with one hand and my 357 in the other.

Simple Hunter Report post Posted August 24, 2009 That's awesome! I saw a single Tom come into the pond I was sitting two years back and he did the same thing, out of range for my bow. The question I have is did you have deer come in after they showed up? After my lion showed up, all I heard was whitetail whistles and snorts and they didn't come in the rest of the day. The day before I had 17 deer show up.
