Steelheads Report post Posted August 19, 2009 Just saw the area I'm heading to will have isolated t-storms all day Saturday and Sunday. So much for water holes
GameHauler Report post Posted August 19, 2009 Not sure where you are headed but just a very slight chance here. I would hope for a system to move in and cloud things up and a bit of rain this system will produce should not affect water holes. Good luck
azhunter23 Report post Posted August 19, 2009 Wouldn't give up so quickly..I would still sit water unless the rest of your area is underwater. I have had deer come in during and after a good rain in August. Look at the bright side temps should be down a little.
Steelheads Report post Posted August 19, 2009 I definitely overreacted. Weather.com made it sound like a full-fledged monsoon was hitting the area, and various other sites predict a slight chance, as GH stated. I'm heading up to the Young area. Either way, I'd rather be hunting and wet than working and dry

AZP&Y Report post Posted August 21, 2009 August 21, 2009- 1205 pm NEXT 24 TO 48 HOURS AS THE FLOW ALOFT SHIFTS TO A SOUTHERLY DIRECTION. SEVERAL UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES WILL BE INTERACTING WITH THIS MOISTURE AND CAUSE PERIODS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WEEKEND. SOME OF THE STORMS COULD BE SEVERE THIS EVENING...AND COULD ALSO PRODUCE LOCALLY VERY HEAVY RAINFALL. EARLY NEXT WEEK...THE FLOW ALOFT WILL TURN TO A MORE SOUTHWEST DIRECTION...RESULTING IN A MARKED DECREASE IN THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY. TEMPERATURES THIS WEEKEND WILL BE MUCH COOLER...WITH A WARMING TREND EXPECTED NEXT WEEK. AzP&Y
Kilimanjaro Report post Posted August 21, 2009 Let it rain, let it rain... This has been a dismal monsoon season, to say the least.
GameHauler Report post Posted August 22, 2009 OH MY I was just doing my thing here in the Man Cave when the wind really started to pick up so went to look and man do we have a storm moving in. I went into the house to check from the upstairs porch and anyone hunting just below the rim is not a happy camper right now Thunder is starting to roar, winds are at least 30+MPH and it is just flat a$$ pouring north of me and headed towards me.
