Big Browns Report post Posted August 18, 2009 Who makes the Claw rifle rest? What do you guys think of it so far? Does the way it clamps on the gun effect the gun's accuracy? Thanks Adam
RHINO Report post Posted August 18, 2009 I have used the claw to take two animals now, an antelope and a coues, both at 400 yards. My 300 um is a true 1000 yard rifle and the claw didn't effect the accuracy by clamping to the stock. I can get a better rest with it than with my harris bipod. I also have used it to sight in instead of setting up a bench. You do need a decent tripod and head for a good base. You can't go wrong with it, much better than a bipod. If you use shooting sticks to support the rear of the rifle at the same time, its like the rifle is sitting in a vise.
30-378shtr Report post Posted August 19, 2009 I've also used it to sight in my rifle in the field, it works great. I've shot prairie dogs off it, deer, and my dad shot his elk. Hands down better than my old Harris bi-pod. If you google "The Claw" you can get their website.

PM him on this site and he'll tell you all you need to know! Or, as 30-378shtr has stated, contact them through their website! S.
The Claw Report post Posted August 20, 2009 Thank you to all those who have posted. I am not going to state anything with regards to the use of The Claw as of course I feel it is the most effective shooting support out there.......but I am heavily biased and I, and you, would rather hear from unbiased users. What I did want to state that I never want to be interpreted as trying to get free advertising on CW out of respect to Amanda. Anytime someone wants to contact me with questions on its use I love talking to respected hunters so please call me or check out the website. But, if you do decide it will work great for your hunting practices and would like to purchase one please know that there are a couple of strong CW supporters in Jim White and The Outdoorsmans that are dealers so I encourage you to contact them with regards to The Claw as well. Thank You all.
