JLB Report post Posted November 5, 2011 A few years back, I spotted a muley doe feeding and working her way toward me from several hundred yards away while glassing a canyon. What were the odds that she would come very close to me? Pretty high in this case. She wound up feeding all the way to me and stopped when her nose hit the end of my hunting boot. We were eye to eye at 3 feet away. That was an interesting moment. I finally had to blink and it was all over.......

I glassed up this young buck a 2 x 3 and he had his nose to the ground trailing a doe. I guess he was not paying much attention on where he had his nose, he suddenly stopped and started to shake his head violently. I was wondering what the heck was going on when I noticed after close examination he had a bunch of teddy bear cholla stuck to the side of his mouth and nose. He started shaking his head violently to the point where he almost fell down. This lasted for about 15 minutes, heck I started to laugh because it was so funny. He was putting on quite a show. He finally came up on a huge thick catclaw bush stuck his head in it and got it off. He hightailed it over the hill. Thanx mother nature for the laughs and memory!! azmetalman Report post Posted December 5, 2011 Last week we were watching 5 Coues does when 2 of them began a boxing match. They stood up and began flailing at each other with their front hooves. My buddy said it looked like 2 kangaroos going at it.

porman Report post Posted January 14, 2012 I have spent countless hours glassing for game or just sitting in a tree stand or a blind for 20 or so years ,I have seen elk mating , to a bear come right passed me glassing, well I was taking power nap and scared 2 days of food out of me .I glassed up a 2 poachers shooting a doe deer during archery season and used my spotting scope to get a license plate number and called game & fish 800 line and got a check in the mail 3 weeks later, that paid for my scouting trips. I have also glassed up hunters and hikers doing things that,I didn’t want to watch and some doing things that made it hard to not watch <img src="http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> , I sure they had no idea , big brother was watching them high above, I was jst wondering ,if I’m the only one who see’s weird things out there and have had close calls with animals upfront during glassing times . I would like to hear, what else others have seen.

SirRoyal Report post Posted January 14, 2012 I was in unit 8 scouting with my wife and kids . We were driving on a main road when we came around a bend which had a dirt water tank on the outside edge. I hollered at the girls dont look, well that was the wrong thing to say! Here's the visual. There was a guy near the waters edge tripping all over himself running away as hard as he could go to get over the top of the dirt dam with his pants down around his ankles and a full moon shining with a flying stream of white toilet paper following. We then looked and seen his wife and kids screaming at him from across the pond I'm sure hollering GET OUTTA THERE someone's coming!
buddyb Report post Posted January 14, 2012 Im still young an hopefully have alot of hunting left to do in my life. But the strangest thing I've ever seen was a whitetail buck pushing a mule deer doe. One of the coolest things Ive ever seen was either watching a bear pick up rocks an chuck them looking for food. Or close to 25 Kudamundi all playing in one juniper tree.
