Weekend in the Mountains

Recommended Posts

I decided to hook up the camp trailer and take the family to the mountains last weekend to do a little scouting. We had a great time!

The weather was beautiful, especially since it was 115 degrees when I left Yuma on Thursday afternoon. Of course I couldnt imagine it would be cool at 6,000 ft, so all I took was T-shirts. Big mistake.

We glassed up lots of elk, deer and antelope. It was the first time my youngest boy had ever seen an elk, I think he is hooked.

Wow nice family trip. You right....115 degrees suck :D Good job on passing on the tradition to your kids. Hey that's a nice elk!..............now the very last picture......what is that? is a cross between a mule deer and a elk??
