Got my lion mount back

Recommended Posts

More pictures of trophy room please,

That cat is making that room a one-in-a-million sort of place, well the double main beam buck, and the ridiculous elk sheds also help I guess.

Meeaawesome!

He looks just like you too!

Is that an Oneida Aero Force? I use to shoot that same bow, and an old Tomcat too! ha ha ha Those bows looked wicked man!

I have to agree that has to be one of the best looking lion mounts around! Congrats again on a great mount of an outstanding cat! Sure makes it easy to spot a poor taxi job after seeing such a great one. ;)

I agree, Dan is one of the most talented artists out there. He charges anywhere between $4100 on up depending on what type of base you want underneath the cat. Well worth the money for something that can be passed down from generation to generation. Here is another one he did that I really like.

Thanks Mike and thanks to all who commented. All the kudos go to Dan for such a good job on my lion! I'm not sure what Dan charges for his lifesize mounts like this one. Dan came to me 3 yrs ago and wanted some really big coues heads in trade for some work and said OH HELLS YES! I've seen some of the work that other guys have posted on here of their lions and I knew Dan stood out way above all of them. Some guys look like they threw a lion mount and rock art with it all together in a matter of a couple days. Dan spent a TON of time on my mount and it shows! Thanks Dan. My lion weighed over 130 lbs and scored just under 14".

The elk shed at the base belongs to a friend of mine. He found it back in 04 and it measures 224" non-typical which makes it the 2nd largest shed antler in the world!! I'm lucky to have it here at my house! Definitely not the bull you think you shot at last year my friend.

Oh and that Oneida ROCKED!!!! heck it still rocks!!! It's my back-up bow. Love that dang thing!

With the words of the great Cournel Sanders " I am to drunk to taste this chicken". dang that is a nice mount. Makes me want to call rim-rock outfitters right now. I am with you all the way that is one of the best lions I have ever seen. I really appreciate great taxidermy work. It takes so much talent to make an animal look that realistic. I just need to figure out a way to find something to trade with the taxidermist so I can get my mounts for free. Congrats on a great lion.
