Red Rabbit Report post Posted August 11, 2009 The best and cheapest (if they can actually occur in intersecting sets ) would be the Minox 15x58 that Doug at Cameraland has. Next choice would be the Vortex Kaibabs for $1200 http://www.cameralandny.com/optics/minox.pl?page=62132

Coach Report post Posted August 11, 2009 I'm a fan of the Vortex as far as non-premium glass. One of the few "bargains" in the optics world IMO.
John O Report post Posted August 11, 2009 I may get some grief for this, but Celestron makes fantastic binoculars for the $$$. I have used a pair of 12X60's for the last 4 years, and they held up great from 10 to 110 degree weather. I just bought their Skmaster 15X70's, and they are very clear and have an awesome field of view. $71 at Amazon, including shipping. Go to a local astronomy shop, and check them out and you will see what I am talking about. Good luck.

firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted August 12, 2009 Docter 15x60's are good too Casey Are you blind Sorry but they Stink Buddy Granted, they are not nearly as good as my Leicas or that other brand.. What are they called? They start with a S.... Anyways... They are not bad for the money for a starter bino. My dad has a pair and they are decent. Dont hold a candle anywhere within 100 yards of my Leicas, but only one other brand does, IMHO.
GameHauler Report post Posted August 12, 2009 For you Doc lovers I am glad you love them I have looked threw a couple and they just did not work for me. desertdog Report post Posted August 12, 2009 Well I have to agree the Vortex is really good glass for the money. Even the vipers are really good and about half of the Kaibab's. Hammy I will agree the Celestron are not bad. My bro had a pair of 10X50's that he used for many years. For the money I was surprised.
