have2bhuntn Report post Posted August 10, 2009 You are talking about cow elk? In the past I used the heavy shoe stings that came with the cameras. The cow elk loved them, they were always eating them and knocking the cameras off the tree.

I had a Bear tear a cam off with 2 Lag bolts holding it to the tree
TwoGuns Report post Posted August 10, 2009 you can put a wood box around your camera with screws or nails sticking out of it so that they get a poke if they stick their nose in it. Works great for bear or cow.
