You will have no choice. Hospitals cannot expand without government approval. • Page 321: Hospital expansion hinges on "community" input: in other words, yet another payoff for ACORN. • Page 335: Government mandates establishment of outcome-based measures: i.e., rationing. • Page 341: Government has authority to disqualify Medicare Advantage Plans, HMOs, etc. • Page 354: Government will restrict enrollment of SPECIAL NEEDS individuals. • Page 379: More bureaucracy: Telehealth Advisory Committee (healthcare by phone). • Page 425: More bureaucracy: Advance Care Planning Consult: Senior Citizens, assisted suicide, euthanasia? • Page 425: Government will instruct and consult regarding living wills, durable powers of attorney, etc. Mandatory. Appears to lock in estate taxes ahead of time. • Page 425: Government provides approved list of end-of-life resources, guiding you in death. • Page 427: Government mandates program that orders end-of -life treatment; government dictates how your life ends. • Page 429: Advance Care Planning Consult will be used to dictate treatment as patient's health deteriorates. This can include an ORDER for end-of-life plans. An ORDER from the GOVERNMENT. • Page 430: Government will decide what level of treatments you may have at end-of-life. • Page 469: Community-based Home Medical Services: more payoffs for ACORN. • Page 472: Payments to Community-based organizations: more payoffs for ACORN. • Page 489: Government will cover marriage and family therapy. If you were a team owner, planning to go the the superbowl, wouldn't you want to get a team with proven performance and experience to get you there? Insurance and health care are quite similar. WE are all owners and we want to make the system better so we have our government interviewing with us to lead our team. Let's look at the government experience. Health care - Our government has experience with similar programs for many years . VA, Medicare and Medicaid manage Huge amounts of money and millions of people are cared for with these programs . Quality and expediency of care are rated poor by most and the budgets are so far blown that VA and Medicaid ration care and continue to blow their budgets with no change in sight. Insolvency in 3-7 years is predicted. Other programs experience- Nearly every program or project comes in way over budget. Can't find evidence of any recently on or under budget and many are 2-3 times over. Recent activity - Cash for Cars had a budget for 3-4 months which was blown in 4 days. The answer is to pump in more money. 3 times more than the whole budget was originally planned! Oh yeah, I think I want this team to take care of my health care! I have faith in the government's fiscal responsibility, ability to budget accurately and plan using due diligence and encourage freedom and free enterprise spirit. You've got to be kidding. If you think Government run health care is going to be good, Go punch yourself in the face a hundred times cause you need some sense knocked into you. Redman Report post Posted August 2, 2009 The bill as it stands is a mess and I doubt there will ever be a good bill for all sides, however, some of the points provided and the "comments or narration" are solely to excite a knee jerk response. One should read it themselves and draw thier own conclusions. Hopefully this bill will not be voted on until Oct, by then the public and experts can closely examine it. More people responded to the cash for clunkers than thought.... There had to be a limit on the funding..... 1 billion probally seemed like a big number...... The government's fix is simple....... More TAX PAYER FUNDS for this program........ THE CASH FOR CLUNKERS IS BULL SH** to begin with.... Why should my tax dollars go towards another American to drive a new car?????? At least 11 Billion a month for the war in Iraq...... Countless other billions to save GM....... GM should have been dissolved before the end of 2008...... but our idiot government gave them a handout.....now the American tax payer owns them..... Redman.....in need of billions.... Yet he and his team of moonbat wailing socialist congressional reps can come up with a complete overhaul of the best health care system in the world in just a few weeks without even reading all the various details??? DesertBull Report post Posted August 8, 2009 The reason Obummer was so eager to get this passed before the congressional break is that he was worried that some dems would change their mind after going home and getting an earful from the people that voted them into their gold mine of a job. .270 Report post Posted August 8, 2009 make no mistake guys. their real goal is to control every aspect of your life. wait until april 15 and the tax audit notifications come out for everyone that has fought against it and made the mistake of letting their name get published. that was one of clinton's favorite tricks too. this bill is not an insurance bill, it is not a health care bill. it is a control your life bill. they want to be able to tell you what you can and can't eat. they want to be able to take your bank account, your home equity, anything of value, to pay for your medical bills after they take over. that is in the proposal. when you turn 65 you have to have end of life counselling every 5 years. mandatory. there are vague euthinasia privisions. this is scary stuff. if you voted for obama slug yourself in the mouth every morning. if you know anyone who voted for him, then you slug em the mouth. my dad is about the toughest guy i ever knew. right now is the only time i've ever seen him scared. and it is all because of the bs that obama and his goons have come up with. won't be long and we'll all be living in gov't apartments, with gov't foor stamps, gov't jobs, etc. we have an election coming up soon. congressmen have to be re-elected every 2 years. there will be a bunch of senators up for election too. if enough of the liberal bastards lose, then obama is a lame duck. if they don't, we're screwed, blued and tatood. awhile back a buncha you guys were cussin' bush. i'm pretty dissapointed in some of his policy, especially on border enforcement and on being weak with dealing with liberals. but i want you guys to think back. when did we ever have more liberty than the 8 years when he was in office? the brady bill died. he tossed the kyoto accord in the trash. state's rights expanded vastly. and after 9-11, there was not one attack on U.S. soil, embassy, military base, etc. they rounded up every person that even said the word terrorist and either killed em or locked em up. what has obama done? he wants to make em citizens so they can use our courts. we have an attorney general that wants to take every gun away. he even wants to outlaw any knife you can open with one hand. now we have this jerk sotomayor as a supreme court justice. mark my words, it won't be long until they want us to have some sort of passport to go state to state and even county to county. something janet reno floated and something that liberals want badly. again, they want to control your life. think about that next election.
