DIYbowhunter Report post Posted July 29, 2009 I drew a Unit 10 Bull tag and gave been scouting my bottom off. We have been seeing some good bulls lately and I am pretty sure we have a couple of great spots. Does anyone have any other last minute tips or spots I might check out? Thanks

skyhawkbowhunter Report post Posted July 31, 2009 Look for the cows. The bulls will be where the cows are when the rut starts
Guest RutNHard Report post Posted July 31, 2009 If you really want to kill a big one I would hire a guide, not that you cant do it by yourself, but theres a monster in unit 10 right now thats alive and well.!! If you want to kill it I would hire Mossback AZ. If you need there info send me a PM. Good Luck!!
azhunter23 Report post Posted July 31, 2009 Make sure your in the woods for the whole hunt if possible!! Get there the Monday before and start locating the bulls most likely the big boys won't be with the cows yet. That week before is crucial for locating them for that opening weekend. Also with as hot as it is up there water is always a good option. Find the most secluded tank and sit it during the day (11-3) while everyone else is taking a nap. Best of luck. Guest AZ>NMcouesaddict Report post Posted July 31, 2009 Scout, scout, scout, and scout. And when you are tired of that, scout more. Unit 10 is huge and flat, the perfect country for hiding mature bulls. You can cover tons of awesome country and never even get close to looking at most of the unit. There are some absolute whoppers this year. The bulls will be making their big move here very quick. Once they start rubbing they'll move closer to their rutting ground so you never know what's going to show up from day to day.
