TREESTANDMAN Report post Posted August 2, 2010 Cool topic! My biggest buck was scored at 104 5/8s by my taxidermist and I scored him at 101". He was a buck I took in September and passed on him two days in a row and decided to take him on the 3rd day. I think he looks like a 90" buck but his trash gives him some extra inches. I had a late kiabab tag that I wish I would have held out for. Every buck I've killed has been an incredible experience but I've decided it is time to hold out for a good 105" buck which I plan on doing this year now that I drew my late 31 whitetail tag! I've also taken the following 1. 93" archery AZ Jan 2. 92" archery AZ Jan 3. 92" rifle NM burros 4. 89 7/8 Mexico buck. Josh Epperson scored it at that. I think he purposefully left off 1/8". 5. 91" archery Dec I've also missed 2 bucks I feel would have gone over 100". There are several points that are hidden, including a fat hook behind his right main beam. Mike Here is my archery buck I wish I'd passed on... Here is a Jan archery buck
Mittens2010 Report post Posted August 22, 2010 Two biggest bucks were both archery 110" in January 2010 and 95" in September 2000. 110" had broken off 3 inches off the main beam, almost passed him Best memory might be the 30" buck I shot in November 2009 at 300 yards in a windstorm after some guys "finished off" my 170" mulie that I "lost" earlier in the year... Never said I was a trophy hunter!!! Nice bucks everyone..
shylopolito Report post Posted August 22, 2010 Figured I would add my first buck since I started the topic.. Took this little guy the first day of archery season, around 4:20 p.m. , made a real good shot at 20 yards, and the rest is history. Cannot wait until January!
