azcoues Report post Posted July 17, 2009 just curious what the 1st thing you guys do when u found out you drew a coveted tag.Do you call everyone and rub it in, repeat calling just to make sure it was not a mistake do whatever your wife or husband asks you to do , and also if it comes out like on a friday do you make a trip to your coveted unit, and if not, how long till you make that trip? 308Nut Report post Posted July 18, 2009 The last time I drew a good tag (2004) I screamed very very loud and for quite a few minutes. The neighbors where a bit concerned and my wife was embarrased. If I knew then what I know now (that is how the draw works) I would have known that with 6 bonus points there was no way I COULD NOT have drawn an archery bull 7E tag in the BP pass and I wouldnt have been so suprised. This year when I confirm that my 8 points secured me a deer tag, I think I will simply have a drink and continue dreaming of big rut crazed bucks. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The research I have done leads me to believe that 8 points would earn me just about any deer hunt I wish SOUTH of the Colorado river. I did not apply for any hunts north of the CO river. If you don't mind me askin' 22 Late WT 1st and Late muzzleloader mule deer 41/42 2nd choice. I want both equally so I let fate decide.
